I got it working. I tried a program to re-enter my CD key but it didn't work so I used regedit to put it in manually. Under software>ea games>bf2>first folder under bf2, can't remember name now>cd-key>default you need to keep the first 5 or so numbers (ending in 92 I think) delete all the junk afterwards and put in your CD key with no dashes or spaces. Hope this helps the next guy. There are better instructions out there.

I've made significant progress on this. I'm at the win 7 machine now with a 3d pro and I noticed that with my online account my pitch did not work but it did with my offline account (I just found out last test that i don't need the online account to connect). I reset all the controls in vanilla BF2 and mapped them in the mod. Still had no pitch until I removed falcon axis as alt control for pitch. Now pitch works fine. My pitch problem was tied to my online account and followed me to some machines but not others (some don't have internet).

WRT the deadzone problem, I have the latest logitech driver on this machine (5.10) and older ones (4.40) on the other machines. I'm hoping this will fix it.

Setting that work good so far are sensitivity of 30% with a deadzone of 15% and a range of 100%.

I'm not at it but I think the video card has 256M and I can't remember what the machine has for RAM but I think it's decent. I'm pretty sure I tried to run the mod before the video card install (with on board crap) and it didn't work then either, I assumed that it needed a video card but apparently that was not the issue.

It mostly sucks because I want to set it up on this machine so me and my brother can play LAN games.

Vanilla BF works fine.
