We need more kits Post suggestions and ideas

Having assault and repair is nice, but what about the rest(except medic, of course)? I saw a while back we had TNT and a baseball bat for a couple of the kits, what ever happened to them? Having more than 2 kits is a must IMO and would be alot more fun. I'm thinking we need at least 5. Please post your suggestions and ideas.

Of course more would be a lot better. We are just too lazy to make them.

Kits based off the ones in the is82 mod for bf1942 would be nice.

Would it be that you have to to go to a gun shop to get the specific kit (like in is82), or can you just choose one from the spawn menu?

I think before creating more kits we should add some more character models. Whats the status of Antonio?

We could create Skeeter and Groove for Vigilantes but who for Kingpin?

Adding kits is alot easier than getting new models. I think if we can just come up with some basic concepts and get them in-game to test, we can always add the models later. Right now we have 2 kits and 1 player model.

Hmm...here's my two cents:

keep the basic classes of Bf2
Vigilantes/kingpins
Peacekeeper: M-16 or AK-47 or something similar for an assault rifle, molotov cocktail, knife, M1911 or M9
Doc: .44 Mag or submachine gun like the MAC-10 or AKS-74u, medic kit, knife, M1911 or M9
Grease Monkey: Mossberg pump action or 12 gauge Browning gold trigger, wrench, mine: claymore(?) or TNT, knife, M1911 or M9
Sniper: M1 Garand or M14 scoped, knife, molotov, M 1911 or M9 silenced(?)
Anti-car: remember the KarPoon launchers from '82? perhaps something on a personal level like that, maybe a high explosive one or a Gas KarPoon that kills the driver. M1911 or M9 (or perhaps a 44 mag), knife, molotov.

Of course, knives can be replaced with baseball bats, spiked boards, etc. Make the Mag .44 have some serious stopping power, like one or two shots will kill, keep the weapons period specific. I hope that the kits dont sound too much like bf2 vanilla kits, and if they do atleast there's a few ideas for weapons!

Leisure suits anyone? :P

I'd prefer the kits you have to earn, ex; you can unlock it OR you could make it so you pick it up like in IS82 for BF42.

I don't really like the BF2 idea of earning your guns through unlocks. Besides, everyone will eventually have them all unlocked anyway. I do, however, like the gun shop idea as seen in IS82. It provides for more interesting game play and an original aspect of this mod.

For the non-pick-up kits three should be two or three; say Driver, Engineer, and perhaps something else (gunner??). The rest of the kits would be found at a gun shop (btw, did that model get lost or do we still have it?).

could we do both perhaps? Have the gun shop that gives you certain things, like TNT, and some assault weapons, but give each spawn kit a different pistol as their main weapon. But kits like the "doc" kit outlined above would have the medpak, but only be able to use it on others and not themselves, to keep things balanced. The engineer comes with his wrench also. Perhaps these pistols could reflect the spawn kits, for instance: An assault kit gets a .44 mag. Its slow firing because of the recoil, but packs a mighty punch. A sniper gets a .45 silenced, and has moderate refire, but low punch. a medic could have a small 9mm holdout pistol that fires fast, but doesn't have a high punch, and an engineer could just a regular .45, but with moderate punch and refire. then people could earn submachine guns after A LOT of work, or Something like that. just a thought. I was thinking though, about the assault kit you could pick up perhaps we could do an Israeli Kalil rifle as a weapon? I don't think I've ever seen one of those on any mod.

How about a gun shop where you buy weapons with your scorepoints?
(By Kit pickup or Q/T Menu)
You would have to decide between your current scorepoints and a better weapons (which might allow you to earn more scorepoints) :)

Score could be called CASH then.
1* M16 -10$

This would require a lot of python coding again......

i kinda like the fun and simplicity of the IS82 gunshop..

1. full throttle to the gunshop.
2. get out of car, get in the shop.
3. get your desired gun.
4. get out and start shooting.

I second the gunshop idea. Players shouldn't start with anything too powerful. I think simpler may end up being more fun in terms of the system for obtaining weapons.
