Activision announced today that the next installment in the classic vehicular combat series, Vigilante 8 will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade in the form of

From the game's website: "V8: Arcade is a brand new re-imagining of the original themes and gameplay, engineered from the ground up for today's hardware by the original founders of Luxoflux and V8 developers."

The original was released in 1998 on the PlayStation and later spawned a version on the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color. A sequel called Vigilante 8: Second Offense was released a year later for the Dreamcast, Playstation and Nintendo 64. This latest Vigilante 8 incarnation will be a reimagining of both games.

Isopod Labs, a new development studio founded in January 2007, will be handling development on Vigilante 8: Arcade. The core team charged with bringing the series to XBLA includes Peter Morawiec, Adrian Stephens and Cary Hara; the same trio that helmed the original game's development at Luxoflux.

Hell ya me too! Its great to see the franchise finaly coming back to a console. I can only imagine how the mp will be. When I had it on ps1 ofcourse it had no mp support, so it was mission based gameplay. I knew some of you here would be happy to see this game comming back!

Hehe, well we did have a PS3, 360, WII and my Gaming rig all in one room. We had to sell the PS3 for my brother wrecking his damn car. So unfortunatly he has to get a new one. I fortunatly am going to purchase the newly released ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2: 2 GPUs 1 Card! **** the PS3 this will kill it!

That is why this ATI card has DX10.1, unlike your reg dx10. This was just released on the 14th of febuary, so I assure you ATI did their homework! It was built to kill the "low end" 8800GTX. j/k!

Well I suppose my GTX is getting lower on the ranks, you must've payed a damn load of money for it... And DX 10.1 is shit, before that would get into full possbility it will take 3 years and it will be called DX11 with different cards. Why are those spec cards for Crysis high on DX9 lol.... Thereby comes that it's X2 wich is big and takes lots of power but as you said you have a powerhouse and it's ATI so Nvidia will pwn them in a few weeks or already did.

I actually just bought a 3870x2. It's a beast and it was only $450. I have an x38 mobo, so my ultimate plan is to get two of them for quadfire.
And Orca, the 3870x2 actually doesn't draw that much power. That and Nvidia haven't beat it... YET!
Of course they will EVENTUALLY beat it, but that's how computers have been for years. They leap frog the technology and make it better and cheaper for us.
And BTW, it's the EXACT same length as your gtx. Please don't be a fanboy, it's annoying.

LOL! I really like the sound of the new archetecture on this amazing card! I dont have the beast yet Orca, But with in 10 days I plan on buying her!

So phatty, how is she? Or do you kiss and tell? Lol I can not wait for that card!I will get some more Ram also To put me at four gigs, 3.0 gighrz dual core cpu and thy beast frometh hell!

Let me know how she is, I am one sad person that cant have crossfire on my system becuase of only one pci ex slot.......So with my 400W power supply and that card I will beat the hell out of those puney PS3 lovers!

Colin said it so it's better and about the same price. Anyway I won't be buying a new card till I can't play the newest game on atleast low with 30 FPS. Ofcourse that game will be from Crytek . I bought this card with the idea of not upgrading my comp in 3 years atleast. In 3 years I'll probarly do a small update and 3 years after that a large. By that time I will be out of high school so I don't know really. Nvidia fanboys ftwz! 80% of the world's gamers use it so why not
This is the end of being fanboys blablabla since I admitted that ATI made a better card. STOP WHINING!
