i guess I could be a bit more descriptive, lol. Its scene 7, I believe, where you're trying to get to the plains and you get stopped by the police that have been paid to bring you in. So you wind up fighting like 3 police cruisers with the 20 mil turrets and after you kill one, they bring in the heli and so on and so on. If you could send me the gold patch that would be amazingly cool as well.

Ah, yes. I LOVE that mission. What I did was cruise around in the canyons close to the walls on the right. Get that helicopter to follow you and he'll crash into the wall and it'll leave you w/the police cruisers to deal with. Those are easy too. Just line up your shots and turn your engine OFF. That makes their turrets useless and you can blow the crap outa them. ;)
I76 is all about strategy. They don't make em like that anymore. :) At least not for autocombat.
Our mod will put some life back into that strategy though w/the new destructible objects and buildings.
Here's a link to the gold patch(w/the wrapper of course).

Canyon walls along bauxite road? the idea about turning the car off is quite impressive. I've taken a look at other walk thrus and none of them say anything about doing that. Tis true about the strategy. The only other game, auto-combat wise I can think of that had the same kind of strategy was Bandits: Phoenix Rising, but unfortunately, they made it insanely hard. Where do I put the rar file, btw?

Which rar file? The rar file is the same as a zip file, you have to un-zip it, or unrar it in this case. 7zip is free and works for rar files.

Wow that really takes me back. I must have been like 12 when I first played I76. I got it with my old Pentium 133; I remember there was a button to lower the graphics and I had to play on the grainy one. The map editor said something about an operation taking several hours on a high running P90 lol. Thinking about it now, it must have been the first actual 3d game I ever played... err I think my dad brought home a 3d tank arcade game when I was 2. I76 is still my favorite game.

I saw Lithium in one of Wing Nut's pics. The only time I remember playing I76 online was a race with Lithium on a map I never realised existed. I always felt I missed out on the glory days of I76.

I found out you can actualy buy i76 and nitropack togeter here.

http://www.gog.com/e...ate_’76_arsenal

It works better than the origionals on new computers like XP Vista and windows7, and at only 6 bucks its hard to pass up, if you havent played the origional heres your chance! I just wish they had i82 on there to, sure its not up to the caliber of i76 but it was a good game none the less.
