I am quoting a Norwegian website when I write this, but I think it is interesting!

The article was reffering to an EA guy who said that he'd like to have one universal console/platform for all games to be released on, delivered online.

Its interesting that EA says this, they earn billions on billions when people buy several different versions of games for different platforms.

On another note, is not a PC already a universal platform? It can emulate SNES, NES; N64, Xbox (rumors ), possibly PS1 and soon PS2 if its not already out. It wont be long for PS3 since PS3 can use Linux, it should be possible to do it the other way around aswell.

To answer the question you all want to get an answer to... STOP MAKING CONSOLES; THE PC IS ALREADY THE UNIVERSAL PLATFORM -> LOLLERS @ EA n00b

EA are bad for gaming they make poor quality games but fair enough they do make some good ones but then they go and suck the franchise for all its worth. I say in a few years the only 3rd party games out there will be EA since they will have bought everything...

EA is not only a game maker, their main income is publishing for others. those who sell well, like Maxis and DICE get bought up.-

that sounds dumb,i mean why would they do that?ppl that cant afford a pc will find that the nentendo wii is affordable for them.i never had a pc my self untill 2 yeas ago.now ive spent over $1,400 on my gaming rig.i went broke every time i would buy something for it.i think that the pc is the best thing for developers to put games on.i own a 360,but dont play it much.my bro bought a ps3,but no good games were being made for the damn thing,so he sold it.they shouldnt worry about a universal platform,the pc is just fine.
