Weapon Hardpoint firing

Currently the mapable weapon buttons (default 1,2,3,4) select groups of weapons instead of directly firing weapons. Sometimes it would be nice to fire your dual 7.62'2 at the guy in front of you while dropping fire at the guy chasing you. Would this be possible?
'73 charger with a nosecone and wing (superbird style). 4wd, 4 wheel disc, and 4 wheel independent suspension via two FWD V6 (SC or TC approx 350 HP) drivetrains, one in front one in back with independent throttle control. One day maybe. Maybe just another pipe dream.

No one else wanted to answer this?

Basically there's no way to do it. It's possible to fire 3 weapons at a time, but only 2 of those will have ammo counters. The way we have it now there are multiple sets of 2 weapons with a car horn on the third slot. We talked about ways to do this before; I even requested more weapon slots during the BF2 1.5 beta, but apparently no one cared (they probably got a million suggestions).

Yeah we really wanted the firing hardpoints to be just like I76, but the BF2 engine just can't do it. We will be able do it however with UDK or the CryEngine.
