Hey all,

Now that I have access to a windows box and a copy of BF2, I'd like to officially sign up as a tester. Could someone direct me towards the latest build?

Many thanks!

You are "Contributor" already which includes "Tester" automaticly :)

Yes you can download the build when you get SVN see here: http://forums.tarmac...p?showtopic=434

There is no setup exe or zipped version atm. I could upload one tomorrow however.

Yeah a new stable build would be sweet. Last time I tried the one on svn it crashed, even in debug mode.

Stupid question: how do I run the mod after I've installed it with SVN? I don't see an .EXE in the mod folder. I assume I make a BF2.exe shortcut on the desktop and add an argument to the path. What argument might this be? Or do I do something else altogether?

Figured out the args, but I just get a black screen and then crash to desktop. Do I need to run in compatibility mode (I'm on Windows 7)? Or is it just that the build is unstable?

Thanks a ton for your help. Can't wait to try it.

check that the mod is in the right folder.
.../Battlefield 2/mods/isnitrodev/*content* e.g. "objects" folder.

Don't know about the stability of the current svn version. my version is pretty stable ;)

the target of your shortcut should look like this:
"C:\Games\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/isnitrodev

No you neither need to set compatibility nor run it as admin usually.

Hmm, still no luck. Do people have it running in Windows 7? Will try reinstalling later. Thanks for the help.

Yes running win7 x64 here.
Make sure you updated the build to revision 1020

Phatty seems to have similar problems. I cannot reproduce them however. So no idea what causes it yet.

Edit:
rev 1022 runs stable on a dedicated server now.

Updated to newest build and tried a bunch of different combinations of args, including nothing but the modPath. No luck... Weird, because BF2 runs fine. Oh well. Thanks for all your help!

This is why I don't like svn. Have you tried the builds from the svn?

Yeah, this was all done through updating via SVN.

stupid question, but are you running the latest bf2 version: patch 1.5 ?
Have you tried other mods?

here the installer/zipped version of the mod can be found:
http://forums.tarmac...?showtopic=1167
it's 100% identical to the svn version so there should be no difference.

@matt
It's not svn's fault that you need to set arguments on your bf2 shortcut and neither if there is a bug in the mod!?

My crashing problem ended up being a voice program I installed. I disabled it and I can load maps fine now.
