The map A lot of Asphalt we announced earlier was revised and polished. Check some impressions here:

Also Matt has been working on a new Map called Slick Track based on an original Interstate ’76 Map.

Jackrabbit

Then there is also a new car we have not shown you yet:

A 1969 Plymouth Superbird called  Picard Jackrabbit Banshee created by JazzDevil, the fastest car in the Interstate ’76 universe, incrementing our current car number to 13.

Spawn System

This month we would like to show you our unique Spawn System. Coded by our fellow developer, Chael, this System allows every player to select their car directly from the Spawn Menu and then spawn in it!

The video shows a WIP where not all graphics are final.

Gameplay

Next up we have some ingame gameplay screenshots from our last Test Session. Most of them include the Courcheval Manta we featured in our September News. If you want to see these in action, I would recommend you to apply as tester and join our weekly test!

A lot of Asphalt

Starting with the Map called “A lot of Asphalt” where you see a yellow Courcheval Manta capturing a Flag to gain benefit from Santana’s Auto Repair.
The second shot shows several Mantas and a Courcheval Dozer fighting for the Mondo Burger.

The third shot shows “Jade’s Car”(an orange Picard Piranha) which is firing a Dr. Radar Missile at his opponent supported by a Black/Red Manta. The fourth shot shows the explosion of a Moth Truck Tanker.

Hidden Airbase

The Map called Hidden Airbase has been reworked in the last weeks. Here are the first shots from the work in progress.
The first shot shows Antonio repairing his car, a Manta with the Ray paint. The second screenshots shows two of the Mantas fighting for the Airbase.

The Black/Red Manta in the fifth picture is heavily equipped with two 30mm cannons. The last screenshot shows the turret version of the Moth Truck which requires two players to reach its full potential.

Hey there. Interstate Nitro is back with another update on our mods progress.

Frontpage

By looking at the news you should have noticed that you are on our new frontpage!

All future updates will be presented here. We will also fill our media gallery with screenshots and other interesting information about the mod and its background.

This includes all our cars, weapons, characters, etc. There is not so much stuff yet but check back some time later

We started adapting to the social media aswell. This means we have a Twitter page AND a Facebook group. Feel free to watch/join them for the latest information! (follow links on the right)

New Test Sessions & Gadget

We are sorry for the long break in doing beta tests but we had technical problems which now are solved so new test sessions are coming!

For our fellow developers and especially for testers we have created a Windows 7 Gadget. It displays the time to the next beta test on a speedometer on your desktop.

We call it Test Meter… Never miss a test again!

New Mod Content

We also have new content to show!

Our finnish modeller JazzDevil has created another new vehicle.

This time it is a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray called Courcheval Manta in the mod.

This green variant of the Manta  is property of  head villain Antonio Malochio in Interstate 76.

Final Words

This concludes the September Update!

Things have been moving slowly. Our utility statics still aren’t finished and we’re trying to finish up some details like the menu, hud and other things like wreck meshes, etc. I thought I’d post a couple screens of some WIP stuff and let you know we’re still working!

We should be picking up the pace by the end of June and hopefully be getting a release to you guys in the near future. But again, no promises on when this will happen.

Also, if anyone knows how to skin BF2 statics, please apply to our team. We really need a few buildings skinned and we have nobody to do it right now. This is one of the main things that need to be done before our release, so any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately we won’t be patching today. While we could release a newer version to the public that is much better than beta2, we want more features before we release any kind of update.

Although we have been working hard, the next update will include mostly newer vehicles and weapons. We still need to get our maps polished and we are still working on statics as well.

Don’t panic though! We are working our hardest and I assure you an update is on it’s way. At this point though, I’m not going to mention any dates! It will be ready when it’s ready.

We’ll be showing 3 of 6 skins for each model.
